Volunteer needed for general committee secretary duties such as

  • taking minutes,
  • recording reports,
  • maintaining attendance book,
  • preparing meeting documents,
  • meeting notification,
  • regularly checking emails and collecting PO mail box

Will be supported entering role.

Receptionist

Volunteer for administration position in Albury.

Preferred skills:

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Maintain Database
  • Good Customer/Communication skills
  • Good Social Media skills
  • Good Computer/IT skills
  • Use of WordPress/website editing an advantage

Will be Monday & Tuesday, 9am to 4:30pm.

Training available (May only be on Wednesdays or Thursdays)

Breakfast Club

As a Volunteer you may be responsible for overseeing the day to day running of the Breakfast Club. This includes supervision of children who attend the program and encouraging the development of children’s living, social and nutritional skills. Continue reading

Multicultural Playgroup

Come along once a month and have fun meeting families from the CALD community. Grow and facilitate the playgroup, whilst gaining great skills to add to your resume. You will be fully supported by the Volunteer Coordinator, Community Development Officer and Staff.

Must be available 11.30 to 12.30

Bus Driver /Cards and Coffee

Drive 22 seater bus to pick up program participants in the Albury / Wodonga Area to attend Cards & Coffee & Conversations in English Program.
Assist with Cards & Coffee Program Conversations in English Program.
After program, has completed drop off home participants. Cultural training will be provided.
Requirements:
Medium Rigid Truck License
Police Check
Program commences 6th February and runs during school terms
Must be available 9am to 2pm

Assistant Bus Driver /Cards and Coffee

Assist bus driver to pick up program participants in the Albury / Wodonga Area to attend Cards & Coffee & Conversations in English Program.

Homework Help

Assist students from CALD backgrounds with their homework, readers, worksheets and assignments. Cultural training will be provided.

Must be available 4pm to 5pm

Conversations in English

Come along and have a cup of tea with members from the CALD community who would love to practice their English with you. This is not a structured formal program and no teaching is required, it is an opportunity for cultural exchange where you will gain as much out of the conversations as the participants. Cultural training will be provided.

Must be available 10.30 to 12.30

Multicultural Support Volunteer

Volunteer will be transporting participants (by mini bus or car) to various groups, appointments, activities and excursions.
Also to be assisting in activities (various available to choose from).
This position involves working with people from a CALD background.
The time commitment will vary, depending on the activity, but will be less than 16 hours per week.

Sandwich Artist

Are you a budding sandwich artist, responsible with money, enjoys the company of older people, reliable and available every Thursday?
Applicant will be responsible for purchasing, prep, design and making of sandwiches.

Various Positions at Local Gallery

Volunteers needed for various roles at a local gallery, both in teams and individually.
May have to cover any sudden absences, needs to be flexible enough for this.
Shifts will be a minimum of 3 hours.
Will be weekly, fortnightly or monthly.
