Program Facilitator

Volunteer tasks/responsibilities include:

Setting up, running and packing up program, ensuring participants complete work every session, liaising with the Community Development Officer each week, and working within company guidelines.

 

Preferable for volunteer to:

Have basic computer skills, basic admin skills, be able to communicate well with diverse cultures, maintain professionalism, be able to work independently with minimal supervision, have time flexibility, and satisfy National Police History Check.

 

Program location: Albury, Lavington, and/or Wodonga.

Will be a minimum of 1 hour long sessions, up to 3 times a week.

Bus Drivers

Bus drivers urgently needed to support cultural exchange, required to pick up clients and join activities.

Minimum medium ridged licence.

Cultural Exchange Program

Volunteers urgently needed during school terms in various positions for the Albury Wodonga Cultural Exchange Program. If you have a passion for education, patience to help people practice English, have a spare one hour to help people use a computer or can drive a bus, please register as a volunteer with the Volunteer Resource Bureau.

Sewing Bedsheets

Volunteers needed to help make single sized fitted sheets, for a community organisation located in Lavington.

Administration Support (Various Positions)

Work may involve using Word/Excel/Access, photocopying, filing, data entry, collecting/sorting mail and general administration duties & front counter duties, on various days. The work will need to be treated with confidentiality and a Police Check will be required. Experience in grant writing an advantage.

Visiting Aged Care Residents

Volunteer needed to talk to residents, go on walks, play games/entertainment, provide hand massages, play music (live or recorded).
Activities run Monday to Friday, 10am – 12pm or 1.30pm to 3.30pm.
Possibility for one on one visiting in the evening or on weekends.

Some residents may have dementia.

Youth Mentor

Volunteer with an interest in helping youth needed, community involvement and teaching/youth programs background an advantage.

Preferred traits are friendly & calm attitude, organised, punctual, flexible and reliable.

Working with Children’s Check and Police Check required.

Will be on Tuesdays, 2:30pm to 5:30pm.

Visiting Aged Care Facilities

Volunteers to go for walks with residents, some of which may be in a wheelchair.

Desired traits are empathy and respect for the elderly, good communication and reliability.

Volunteers are to visit once per week or fortnightly.

Marketing and PR

Looking for a marketing person who will be able to work on tasks independently and in a team.
The candidate will need to be organised, and be able to work on tasks in an efficient timely manner. Experience with marketing in would be highly regarded. Proficiency with office applications, digital media, website content, branding and maintenance. Previous experience an advantage.

Handyman/Carpenter

1-4 volunteers needed for handyman/carpenter postion,

Times are Tues/Thurs/Fri 12pm-3pm & Wed 9am-12pm,

Working with Children Check required,

Hairdresser

Volunteer needed for hair/beauty,

Preferred day/time is Thurs 12pm-3pm,

Secretary

Position will involve recording minutes, ensuring minutes are signed and given to the Manger, maintaining the meeting attendance book, arranging AGMs, maintaining accurate records, handling membership applications, etc.

Volunteer to adhere to guidelines & policies of organisation.

Will be in Albury area.

Administration

This position will suit those with good administration experience, applicant will need good computer skills, be able to take minutes, produce agendas, etc, and assist with office organisation.
1-2 days a week.
Located in Central Albury.

Males encouraged to apply.

Bookkeeper

Preferred to have experience in bookkeeping, MYOB, Quicken, or other program.
Duties include entering transactions, producing transaction report, BAS quarterly report, Profit and Loss statement, invoices, etc.
Flexible days, 1 to 2 hours per week.
